(Everything mentioned here is probably expansion stage changes.)I have been considering protection and AR in DIablo 3. And both pretty much do the same factor. And this got me considering what if they both did something more essential. ie.Armour secured you vs all frequent strikes, but provided you zero protection vs crits.AR (All resistance) secured you vs crits only, but provided you no protection vs a hit that is not a crit. (individual resistances do the same, ie crits only but only for that particular resistance)This would distinguish protect and AR. And make a tangible objective to get one over the other. Monsters would have to crit you a respectable quantity in the first position for this to execute. If the don't (my barb does not experience crits and I have the crit announcements converted off) then you can add this.
One factor they can do, at least as a stopgap, to fix the problem of the AH damaging the experience experience is to usually make a LEGIT banner. Its just an additional banner that gets turned on upon personality development. It can appear upon examination and perhaps their in-game name gets shown in a exclusive shade provided that they have that banner turned on.The activity functions 3 simple assessments.
